Baku: In 2024, Israel’s global trade turnover amounted to 153.2 billion US dollars, consisting of 91.5 billion US dollars in imports and 61.7 billion US dollars in exports: APA-Economics reports citing foreign media.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, last year Israel exported products to 117 countries and imported products from 192 countries. The biggest importers of Israeli products were the United States with $17.3 billion, Ireland with $3.2 billion, and China with $2.8 billion. Hong Kong, recognized as a separate entity in trade databases, imported an additional $2 billion in products from Israel. When combined with China’s imports, it becomes the second-largest importer of Israeli products.
In terms of imports, Israel purchased $91.5 billion worth of goods globally in 2024. The leading exporters to Israel were China with $19 billion, the United States with $9.4 billion, and Germany with $5.6 billion. China primarily exported electric vehicles, mobile phones, computers, and metals to Israel.
The United States supplied Israel with explosive munitions, diamonds, electronics, and chemical products. The US military aid to Israel contributes significantly to this trade, with much of the aid spent on American-made weapons, thereby enhancing US export figures.
Germany’s exports to Israel included vehicles, pharmaceutical products, machinery, and electronics, marking it as a significant trade partner for Israel in 2024.
