Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order approving the ‘State Program for the improvement of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula for 2026-2035.’
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the document outlines that the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy have been tasked with ensuring the financing of the program. This will be achieved through the annual state budget and state investment programs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as by attracting funds from other sources, aligning with the financing mechanisms outlined in the State Program.
