Baku: The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) transferred a total of 170,412.9 million manats to the state budget as of December 31, 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these transfers are part of the implementation of the 2025 budget of SOFAZ, which saw 14,481 million manats directed to the state budget in the previous year.
It should be noted that SOFAZ’s assets amounted to 60,031.4 million US dollars (102,053.3 million manats) at the start of 2025. By the end of the year, these assets had increased by 22.5%, reaching 73,541.5 million US dollars (125,020.5 million manats).
Recall that SOFAZ was established on December 29, 1999. The Fund plays a crucial role in the collection, management, and preservation of revenues from oil and gas for future generations. Functioning as an off-budget, separate state institution, SOFAZ prioritizes transparency in its operations. Over the years, it has developed institutionally to become an international financial institution.
