Tashkent: We attended a ceremony in Tashkent with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dedicated to the start of the commissioning and construction of new projects in the energy sector, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov, said in an X post, APA-Economics reports. “In this context, the exploration and project implemented in the Ustyurt region jointly with SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz was officially launched,” Shahbazov noted.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the collaboration between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz marks a significant step in the development of the energy resources in the Ustyurt region. The initiative aims to enhance energy production capabilities and strengthen economic ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The launch event was attended by high-level officials and industry leaders, underscoring the importance of the project for both nations. The exploration project is expected to contribute to the long-term energy strategies of both countries, leveraging the expertise and resources of SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz.
