Rolande Pryce: Black Sea and Caspian Sea Serve as Key Energy Corridors

Baku: The Black Sea and the Caspian Sea are important energy corridors, said the World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Rolande Pryce, at the I Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pryce highlighted the planned Black Sea submarine cable as a transformative project. This cable is expected to enhance energy security, digital connectivity, and integration between the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and Europe.

The initiative aims to establish landing points in Georgia and Romania, thereby connecting the electricity and digital markets of the South Caucasus with the European Union. Pryce emphasized that maintaining a commitment to regional integration could allow other South Caucasus countries to benefit significantly from this development.
