Baku: ‘The South Caucasus is becoming a zone of peace,’ President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during his speech at the SCO Plus format meeting, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Bishkek reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significant progress made in the region’s peace efforts. He stated that a little over a year ago, Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed the text of the peace agreement, which effectively put an end to a 30-year conflict. The Azerbaijani leader emphasized that this development is transforming the South Caucasus region, previously known for its longstanding disputes, into a zone of peace.
President Aliyev’s remarks at the SCO Plus format meeting underscore the importance of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
