Tianjin: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met with Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in Tianjin, China.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the current relationship between Azerbaijan and the AIIB. They highlighted the successful cooperation in various sectors, with a particular focus on green energy.
The discussions also explored future collaboration opportunities, specifically in areas such as the Middle Corridor, metro construction, water management, and green energy. This meeting underscored the mutual interest in expanding cooperative efforts in these sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a joint declaration on strategic cooperation was exchanged. This took place in the presence of both President Aliyev and the AIIB President, marking a significant step in cementing the partnership between Azerbaijan and the AIIB.
