President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Threats of Global Environmental Problems to Humanity’s Future.

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has issued a stark warning about the serious threats posed by global environmental problems to the existence and future of humanity. In his address to the participants of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders, which convened under the slogan ‘World Religions for a Green Planet,’ he highlighted critical issues such as climate change, environmental pollution, droughts, desertification, biodiversity loss, water scarcity, and food shortages.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the necessity of cooperation among world states and the unification of international community efforts to address the climate crisis and environmental security issues. He expressed his appreciation for the influential religious leaders who gathered for the COP events, noting their concern for the planet’s fate and their determination to contribute to the common cause.

President Aliyev further pointed out that the spiritual resources of various faiths and beliefs could be instrume
ntal in finding solutions to the existential problems brought about by climate change. He stressed that religious leaders worldwide could play a significant role in tackling these challenges.
