Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has announced that the Araz Corridor project is capturing significant interest both regionally and globally. Addressing the Azerbaijan-Iran Business Forum in Baku, he emphasized that despite numerous speculations and rumors, the project is straightforwardly a new initiative focused on transportation and connectivity.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev clarified that the primary goal of the Araz Corridor project is to connect the main part of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Iran. He further noted that this connection would also create noteworthy transit opportunities, enhancing the region’s infrastructure and transportation capabilities.
