Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Republic of Cuba, as reported by APA. The congratulatory message was sent on the occasion of Cuba’s national holiday, Independence Day.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his sincere wishes on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan. In his letter, he conveyed his hope that the relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba, which are grounded in established traditions, will continue to progress based on friendship and cooperation. The President emphasized the importance of these relations both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, aligning with the interests of both nations’ peoples.
President Aliyev also took the opportunity to extend his New Year wishes for 2026 to President Diaz-Canel. He wished him good health, success in his endeavors, and ongoing peace and prosperity for the Cuban people.
