President Ilham Aliyev and Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty Chairman Visit Shusha’s First Residential Complex


Shusha: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the first residential complex built in the city of Shusha. Aydin Karimov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, provided insights about the complex during the visit.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the residential complex spans nearly 8 hectares and comprises 23 buildings. Its foundation was laid by President Ilham Aliyev in August 2021. The complex includes 450 apartments, offering a variety of units: 28 one-room, 195 two-room, 190 three-room, 30 four-room, and 7 five-room units. These apartments are designated for former internally displaced persons and as service housing for individuals working in state institutions in Shusha.



To date, the complex has resettled 376 families of former internally displaced persons, totaling 1,409 individuals. Additionally, significant landscaping and greening efforts have taken place in the area to enhance the living environment.
