President Aliyev Demands Unhindered Passage to Nakhchivan Without Armenian Border Guards


Abu dhabi: President Ilham Aliyev has asserted that Azerbaijani citizens should not encounter Armenian border guards when traveling to Nakhchivan. Speaking at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, the president emphasized the importance of safe and unobstructed passage between regions within Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev addressed the issue during a meeting, stating that he had communicated this demand to the Armenian leader in Abu Dhabi. He highlighted that the route in question is a domestic transition from one part of Azerbaijan to another. The president insisted that Azerbaijani citizens and cargo should not face Armenian border guards, framing it as a legitimate and fair demand necessary to ensure the safety of Azerbaijani citizens.
