New york: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, along with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, participated in the high-level debates at the United Nations headquarters in New York during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the session has gathered over 150 heads of state and government, focusing on critical global issues under the theme ‘Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights.’ The discussions address ongoing global conflicts, the Sustainable Development Goals, the climate crisis, and other significant challenges.
The 80th session, ongoing at the UN headquarters, is set to continue until September 30. UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres personally greeted President Aliyev and First Lady Aliyeva upon their arrival for the debates.
