Darwin: The conflict in Ukraine will be resolved at the negotiating table, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated at a news conference in Darwin, Australia. His remarks followed a meeting with Australian and Japanese counterparts, where he emphasized the importance of ensuring Ukraine’s strength in protecting its interests.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that Moscow has not refused to resolve the Ukraine conflict through diplomacy. In a recent phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Putin reaffirmed Moscow’s openness to talks based on proposals he presented earlier this year. These proposals included demands for Kiev to withdraw its forces from Donbass and Novorossiya, abandon its NATO bid, and for the lifting of Western sanctions against Russia. Additionally, Russia insists that Ukraine should commit to maintaining a non-aligned and nuclear-free status.
