Baku: Passenger car production in Azerbaijan experienced a significant increase in January 2026, with a total of 402 passenger cars and 56 trucks produced, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee. This marks a 71.1% rise in passenger car production compared to the same period last year, while truck production saw a sevenfold increase.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of February 1, 2026, the inventories of finished products included 244 passenger cars and 19 trucks. In addition to the surge in car and truck production, the country produced 30 tractors during the reporting period, which is a 34.8% decrease compared to January of the previous year.
The previous year saw the production of 4,038 passenger cars and 273 trucks in Azerbaijan, highlighting the substantial growth in production activities at the start of 2026.
