Azerbaijan’s Consumer Market Volume Nears AZN 7 Billion in January


Baku: Azerbaijan’s consumer market experienced a notable surge in January, with the total value of goods sold and services rendered reaching 6.8 billion manats. This represents a 4.6 percent increase in comparable prices compared to January 2025.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported that 78.1 percent of this total value was attributed to retail trade turnover. Meanwhile, 18.7 percent came from the value of paid services provided to the population, and 3.2 percent from public catering turnover.



The report highlighted that economic entities operating in the non-state sector saw a 4.5 percent increase in the value of goods sold and services rendered compared to January of the previous year. This sector reached a total of 6.5 billion manats, with 45.7 percent of this figure coming from the activities of individual entrepreneurs.
