Baku: Azerbaijan is undoubtedly a model of stability and good governance in this region, said Nouriel Roubini, CEO of Roubini Macro Associates, a US-based company, at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Roubini highlighted several key attributes contributing to Azerbaijan’s stability and governance. He emphasized that the country has invested in human capital and infrastructure and benefits from a strategic location. Roubini noted that the macroeconomic framework of Azerbaijan is solid, featuring a monetary policy with low inflation, a moderate fiscal balance, and low public debt.
Roubini also pointed out the nation’s awareness regarding the finite nature of its natural energy resources. He stressed the importance of economic diversification to ensure sustainable growth beyond reliance on energy exports.
