Baku: Next year, the need criterion and the minimum living standard will be set at AZN 285 in Azerbaijan, APA reports. This update is part of the ongoing efforts to adjust economic measures in line with current living conditions in the country.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this change is reflected in the review of the Chamber of Accounts on the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025.” The adjustment, effective from January 1, 2025, marks an increase from the current AZN 270.0 to AZN 285.0. Both the need criterion and the minimum living standard will see a rise of over 5.5% compared to 2024, as they are currently set at equal amounts.
