The Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Ministry has cancelled the results of a tender to purchase laptops and printers for the 7th UNESCO International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport.
Tender procedure https://etender.gov.az/main/competition/detail/283380?? for purchase of 43 11th generation Intel® Core i5 laptops with “Windows 10” operating system, as well as 13 laser printers (print, copy scan, fax) was held from 17 February to 7 April. The tender committee worked for a month and announced “Infinitech” LLC (TIN: 1300226131) as the winner of the tender on May 10.
However, as it turned out from the announcement of the Tender Commission earlier May 8, the public procurement regulator sent a letter to the Ministry of Youth and Sports with a proposal to cancel the tender. The reasons for this decision have not yet been made public.
The 7th UNESCO International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport will be held from 26 to 29 June in Baku.
“MINEPS VII” https://www.unesco.org/en/articles/unesco-global-sports-conference-mineps-vii is a global conference bringing together governments, athletes, the private sector and other stakeholders to increase investments in sport, improve sport practices, enhance the quality of physical education and strengthen the positive impact of sport on health, society and the economy.
At that, the conference will be a valuable opportunity for Sport Ministers and other stakeholders to shape the future of the sport for development ecosystem, culminating in the launch of the “Fit for Life Alliance”, according to UNESCO.
