Bilasuvar: The installation of the first solar panel at the Bilasuvar Solar Power Plant marks a significant step in the evolution of Azerbaijan’s energy landscape, as emphasized by Abdulaziz Alobaidli, Chief Operating Officer of Masdar, during a press briefing.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abdulaziz Alobaidli highlighted the importance of this development, stating, “Today we have gathered here to celebrate the installation of the first panel of the 445-megawatt plant within the Bilasuvar project. This is a very important milestone for the project.” He expressed sincere appreciation towards the Azerbaijani government, the Ministry of Energy, and other key ministries, along with Azerenergy, for their vital support and collaboration in realizing this project.
Alobaidli further remarked that this is not Masdar’s inaugural venture in Azerbaijan. The company successfully completed a project in Garadagh, which has been operational for two years. The Bilasuvar project is Masdar’s second initiative in the country, with plans already underway for two additional projects slated for future implementation.
