Accra:Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, during her official visit to Kyrgyzstan. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations in various sectors, including trade, economy, investment, energy, and transport.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Japarov highlighted the special nature of the allied relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. He stressed the significance of the agreements reached, particularly the Treaty on Allied Relations signed during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan in July, which are crucial for the further development of ties between the countries.
Sahiba Gafarova conveyed President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings and best wishes to President Japarov. She remarked on the dynamic development of bilateral relations, including interparliamentary ties, and underscored the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
