According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Doreen Bogdan-Martin emphasized the necessity of aligning digital transformation with sustainability efforts. She highlighted that member states have recognized the importance of integrating digital advancements with environmental goals. Bogdan-Martin referenced the United Nations’ Pact for the Future and its Global Digital Compact as frameworks that underscore the fight against climate change.
She noted that some renewable energy consumers have already achieved 100% reliance on renewable electricity, illustrating the potential for the digital sector to contribute more significantly to environmental initiatives.
