Italian Pavilion Debuts at Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition

Baku:The Italian national pavilion was inaugurated at the Baku Expo Center as part of the 31st Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, known as BakuBuild. This event is a leading platform in Azerbaijan for showcasing developments in the construction, building, and environmental technology sectors.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the initiative to launch the Italian pavilion is a collaborative effort involving the Italian Trade Agency, ANIMA (Federation of the Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries), and FINCO (Federation of Industries for Construction Products, Plants, Services and Specialized Works). The goal is to highlight the accomplishments of Italian industry and foster new opportunities for cooperation between Italian and Azerbaijani companies.

A total of 24 Italian companies are participating in the pavilion. Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco, in his opening remarks, emphasized the strategic significance of infrastructure and construction for Azerbaijan’s growth. He stated that the cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan extends beyond trade, facilitating industrial partnerships, expertise exchanges, and joint project implementations.

The ambassador also praised the robust bilateral relations, bolstered by high-level visits, including those by Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, and Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers, to Azerbaijan. This strong collaboration is expected to unlock new opportunities across various economic sectors.

Besides the participation of Italian companies, a delegation of 15 Georgian companies will visit the Italian National pavilion between October 15-16. This visit is organized by the Italian Trade Agency representatives in Baku and Tbilisi. The exhibition is scheduled to continue until October 18.
