Baku:The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that Azerbaijan’s foreign trade balance showed improvement in 2026, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the information was detailed in the IMF’s October report. The report highlighted the varying dynamics of foreign trade balances across the Caucasus and Central Asia region. It noted that while several oil-importing countries in the region experienced a weakening trade balance, oil-exporting countries like Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan saw improvements.
The IMF attributed the weakening trade balance in Armenia and Uzbekistan to a decrease in export revenues, whereas in Tajikistan, the decline was linked to increased import costs.
