During a session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) it was decided to extend the duty-free threshold of €1,000 for individuals until October 1, 2023. EEC reported.

The threshold was raised last year for goods that are delivered by carrier or by mail, as well as imported as luggage by all modes of transport, except by air or on foot. Such a threshold was temporarily set until April 1, 2023.

If the value of imported goods exceeds €1,000 or their weight exceeds 31 kilograms, a duty of 15 percent of the value, but not less than €2 for each kilogram exceeding the norm, will have to be paid.
