Deputy Heads in Azerbaijani President’s Administration to Receive Diplomatic Passports

Baku: Deputy heads of departments or other structural units equivalent to them within the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be eligible to obtain diplomatic passports. This development is reflected in the proposed amendment to the ‘Law on Passports,’ which is included in the agenda of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) meeting scheduled for May 23.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment aims to extend the privilege of diplomatic passports to a broader range of officials within the Presidential Administration. The inclusion of this amendment in the parliamentary agenda indicates the legislative body’s intent to discuss and potentially approve these changes during the upcoming session. This move could enhance the mobility and diplomatic engagement of deputy heads by facilitating international travel and official duties abroad.
