Deployment of EU mission in Armenian territory of conditional border escalate situation – Chief of General Staff of Azerbaijan Army


The deployment of the EU mission on the territory of Armenia on the conditional border leads to the tension of the situation in the South Caucasus, First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, said this in a meeting with the Director General of NATO’s International Military Staff, Lieutenant-General Janush Adamchak, who is visiting Azerbaijan, APA reports.

The Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the deployment of the European Union observation mission in the Armenian territory of the conditional border and arming Armenia by some extraregional countries, particularly France, contribute to the emergence of revanchist forces, hinder the normalization of relations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and escalate the situation in the South Caucasus.
