Baku:As part of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor Forum, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov engaged in discussions with Zhao Yonglin, Chairman of the Board of China Datang Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., focusing on renewable energy prospects in Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the meeting covered the progress of a 100 MW solar power plant project in Azerbaijan and the potential establishment of a 200 MW offshore wind power plant in its initial phase. The forum highlighted the Green Energy Corridor’s potential to expand renewable energy production and exports.
The Chinese company expressed interest in advancing solar and offshore wind energy projects while exploring participation in the Green Energy Corridor. The discussions also included the continuation of cooperation in personnel training and the exchange of technical expertise within the energy sector.
