China, Azerbaijan Expand Trade Ties with Joint Vehicle Production


Ganja: A delegation led by Niyazi Bayramov, Head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, continues its visit to the People’s Republic of China. As part of the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association and two Chinese companies.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the agreements were signed with ‘CLW Chengli Group’ and ‘Shaanxi Automobile Group Commercial Vehicle Co Ltd’ (SAGMOTO). The collaboration with CLW Chengli Group involves the production of commercial vehicles and trucks in Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, the agreement with SAGMOTO lays the groundwork for the assembly of commercial vehicles in the country.



The agreements were formalized by Khanlar Fatiyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association, alongside representatives from the Chinese companies, including the General Manager of CLW Chengli Group and the Deputy General Director of SAGMOTO.



During meetings preceding the signing ceremony, Niyazi Bayramov emphasized the favorable business and investment climate fostered in Azerbaijan due to reforms led by President Ilham Aliyev. The meetings also included video presentations showcasing the city of Ganja and the operations of Chinese companies.
