Baku: The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, along with a delegation led by the Chief of General Staff of Hungarian Defence Forces, General Dr. G¡bor B¶r¶ndi, visited strategic military facilities in Azerbaijan, as reported by Ministry of Defense to APA: The Hungarian delegation is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit began at the Central Command Post of the Air Force. Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Commander of the Air Force, educated the guests on the structure and modern technological capabilities of the command post. The briefing highlighted the control mechanisms of Azerbaijan’s airspace and the management of flight operations.
The delegation then toured the Cybersecurity Center, where they observed the measures in place to protect modern weapon systems and IT equipment within the Azerbaijan Army. They received detailed information about the artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity tools utilized at the center.
Following this, the Chiefs of Staff from both countries visited a commando military unit. They observed activities on the mountain commando rappel tower and scout trail and were shown an exhibition of weapons, ammunition, and military vehicles. The visitors received comprehensive information about the tactical and technical features of these military assets and their operational guidelines.
