Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced plans to further expand cooperation in the energy sector with Vietnam. This statement was made during a joint press conference with To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that the documents signed in the energy sector and the discussions held provide a strong foundation for future expansion of collaboration. The cooperation, which is currently primarily based on trade, is set to include mutual investments. Discussions included potential investments by Vietnamese companies in Azerbaijan and by the Azerbaijani oil company in Vietnam. Relevant agencies have been instructed to take concrete steps towards these investment opportunities.
