Charg© d’Affaires Highlights Rise in Azerbaijani Students Studying in the US


Baku: A total of 1,329 Azerbaijani students studied in the United States during the previous academic year. This represents an 18 percent increase compared to the previous year, said US Charg© d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon during a fair on studying in the United States organized by the US Embassy and EducationUSA, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the number of Azerbaijani students choosing to study in the US has been increasing for the fourth consecutive year. Amy Carlon emphasized that the United States remains a preferred destination for Azerbaijani students pursuing higher education, attributing the consistent growth to a growing confidence in the quality of American education. She noted that Azerbaijani students not only receive a high-quality education but also serve as cultural bridges, fostering long-term connections and returning to Azerbaijan with innovative perspectives that contribute to the country’s development.



US Embassy Cultural Affairs Counselor in Azerbaijan Randy Cole highlighted the benefits Azerbaijani students gain from their US education. He stated that students return with enhanced analytical thinking skills and strong professional competencies, joining an alumni network of more than 8,000 Azerbaijanis who have studied in the US. Cole remarked that this trend demonstrates a clear understanding among Azerbaijani students and their families of the value of American education and its leading institutions.
