Baku:There is alignment between the national development goals of Azerbaijan and Cambodia, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Cambodia Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council Kith Meng stated at the Azerbaijan-Cambodia business forum.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Kith Meng emphasized that despite the geographical distance, both countries prioritize sustainable development, strategic economic growth, and modernization. Diplomatic relations between the two nations were established in December 1994, strengthening ties between the Caspian region and Southeast Asia.
Over the years, these relations have been bolstered through regular diplomatic contacts, joint membership in international organizations like the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement, and high-level mutual visits. The official visit of former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen to Baku in 2014, 12 years ago, was highlighted as particularly significant.
Kith Meng also noted that Cambodia has emerged as one of Asia’s most open and fastest-growing economies, thanks to an environment of peace and stability over the past two decades.
