Baku: Twin city cooperation between Baku and Tabriz is being discussed, Yaghoub Houshyar, the mayor of Tabriz, told journalists within the framework of the “III Azerbaijan National Urban Forum.”
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Houshyar noted that Baku has been declared a twin city with many cities around the world, and this cooperation format is also possible with Tabriz. He mentioned that such cooperation has been discussed before and expressed hope that concrete steps will be taken in this area in the near future.
Houshyar shared that, according to the agreement of the heads of state, cultural weeks will be organized in three cities, with one event to be held in Tabriz and another in Baku. He stated that the organization of cultural weeks will contribute to the expansion of social and cultural ties in both cities. The event is planned to take place next year.
