Azerigas Enables Digital Contract Signing with SIMA

Baku:Azerigas subscribers can now sign contracts digitally using the SIMA digital signature, a part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. This integration is aimed at digitalizing the services and business processes of the Azerigas Production Union, allowing subscribers to complete necessary procedures without the need for paper documents or visits to service centers.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, citizens can utilize the ‘mygov’ platform to sign contracts related to gas supply with SIMA. The option is also available at ‘ASAN xidm?t’ and ‘ASAN Kommunal’ centers, where both residential and non-residential gas supply agreements are processed electronically and signed using SIMA.

This new solution aims to simplify the documentation process, reduce the time required for procedures, and provide more convenient access to services for subscribers. It also allows Azerigas to manage its internal operations more efficiently by reducing the circulation of physical documents, improving process monitoring, and managing documentation electronically.

The next stage of collaboration between Azerigas and AzInTelecom will focus on expanding the use of digital solutions to other service and business processes. The ‘Digital Development Concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan,’ approved by a Presidential Decree on January 16, 2025, prioritizes the modernization of public services and their transition to digital platforms.

The integration of the SIMA digital signature in various service areas not only simplifies everyday transactions for citizens but also accelerates the transition of services to a digital environment. AzInTelecom plans to continue broadening the use of SIMA to enhance the accessibility and convenience of digital services for users.

SIMA, developed by ‘AzInTelecom’ LLC, a company within AZCON Holding, is a next-generation digital signature solution that allows users to access a range of public and private services quickly and securely. Users can obtain the digital signature free of charge through a mobile application, eliminating the need to visit a service center.
