Azerbaijan’s Strategic Role in Eurasia Highlighted at Dubrovnik Forum


Dubrovnik: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, participated in the ‘Dubrovnik Forum – Driving Force for Change’ held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. During the event, which took place on July 11-12, Mammadov engaged in a panel discussion titled ‘Connecting Europe and Asia: Paths to Partnership and Prosperity’.

According to Trend News Agency, Mammadov emphasized the strategic significance of bolstering political and economic connections between Europe and Asia for international stability and sustainable development. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s emerging role as a reliable partner and a sustainable transport and logistics corridor linking the two continents. Mammadov underscored Azerbaijan’s contributions to interregional integration through multilateral projects in transport, energy, and communications, positioning the country as a strategic coordinator in the Eurasian region.

During the forum, Mammadov held discussions with Lu Shae, the head of the delegation from the Pe
ople’s Republic of China and Special Representative for European Affairs. The two discussed the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, highlighting recent cooperation agreements.

Additionally, Mammadov met with Rass Jalichandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, to explore the current state and potential expansion of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Thailand. The discussions covered economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as mutual assistance in multilateral forums.
