Tbilisi:In the first nine months of this year, a total of 249,002 people traveled from Azerbaijan to Georgia, reflecting a significant increase in visitor numbers.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, this figure represents an increase of 28,834 people, or 13.1%, compared to the same period last year.
In terms of foreign visitors to Georgia, Azerbaijan ranked fifth, following Russia with 1,306,623 visitors, Türkiye with 923,476, Armenia with 676,201, and Israel with 292,420.
Overall, Georgia welcomed 6,112,078 international visitors during the reporting period, a slight increase of 0.04% from last year. The number of tourist visits specifically increased by 2.3% year-on-year, totaling 4,404,872.
