Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Concludes Successful Visit to Morocco


Rabat: A delegation of Azerbaijan, led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, has concluded its working visit to Rabat, Morocco, the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA. The visit’s second day was marked by a series of meetings with heads of several Moroccan state institutions.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during a meeting with Mohamed Abdennabaoui, First President of the Court of Cassation and Deputy President of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power of Morocco, discussions emphasized the importance of fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between the law enforcement authorities of both countries. The exchange of expertise and mutual legal support were key points of the dialogue.



Subsequently, an expanded meeting with Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, highlighted the development of bilateral interagency cooperation between law enforcement authorities. Discussions also focused on expanding the legal framework of collaboration between the agencies.



The Azerbaijani delegation visited the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), where they met with Salim M. AlMalik, the organization’s Director-General. During the visit, officials noted Azerbaijan’s significant contribution to ICESCO’s activities, particularly emphasizing Azerbaijani First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva’s role in preserving and promoting Islamic cultural heritage.



Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev also spoke to local media, stating that such visits are crucial for sharing expertise in identifying common challenges in the fight against crime and developing effective responses. The Azerbaijani delegation included Nazim Samadov, the country’s Ambassador to Morocco.
