Azerbaijan Advances Resettlement to Khojaly and Aghdara Villages


Khojaly: Azerbaijan has initiated a new phase of resettlement, sending caravans to six villages in the Khojaly district and one village in the Aghdara district. On April 29, families received keys to new houses as part of this resettlement effort, according to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a total of 41 families, comprising 175 people, have returned to the region. Specifically, 10 families (46 people) moved to Khanabad village, 16 families (59 people) to Badara village, 4 families (25 people) to Khanyurdu village, 1 family (3 people) to Seyidbeyli village, 1 family (5 people) to Shushakend village, 3 families (15 people) to Tazabina village, and 6 families (22 people) to Ashaghy Oratag village of the Aghdara district.



The event was attended by Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, and Mahmud Afandiyev, Deputy Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly. S. Gahramanov congratulated the returning residents and highlighted the significant construction, improvement, and restoration work underway in the region. He assured that all necessary social infrastructure has been established for the resettled residents, ensuring their comfortable living conditions.



This resettlement is part of the Great Return to the liberated territories. The families resettled had previously been temporarily accommodated in various parts of the republic, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
