Baku: A phone conversation was recently held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Cho Hyun, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. The discussion centered on the current state and potential future of the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and South Korea, with a particular focus on regional cooperation.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conversation underscored the importance of Korean companies’ participation in various projects in Azerbaijan, highlighting significant prospects for enhanced economic collaboration. Both sides acknowledged the pivotal role of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between their governments, which contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations.
The ministers emphasized the need to intensify consultations between their respective foreign ministries and promote mutual visits. They also explored ways to enhance cooperation within regional platforms and expand partnerships across multiple sectors.
The Korean side expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s leadership role in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. The conversation concluded with an exchange of views on other mutual interests.
