Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued an Order to honor military personnel of the State Border Service for their exemplary service in safeguarding the nation’s borders. The recognition highlights their role in maintaining the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and executing their duties effectively.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev’s decree is based on Clause 23 of Article 109 of the Azerbaijani Constitution. The order awards various distinguished personnel with national honors, acknowledging their significant contributions to the nation’s security.
Lieutenant General Sadigov Rashad Heydar received the Azerbaijan Flag Order, while Lieutenant General Khalilov Abbas Sultan and Colonel Gojayev Bagir Ibrahim were awarded the Order of “Rashadat” (Courage) of the 3rd Degree. Major General Bagirov Ramin Sabir and Rear Admiral Giyasov Abbas Huseyn were recognized with the Order of “For Service to the Fatherland” of the 2nd degree, and Lieutenant General Mammadov Araz Mammad was honored with the same order of the 3rd degree.
The medal “For the Homeland” was awarded to several individuals, including Major General Zeynalov Zaur Aghagardash and Colonels Jalilov Namig Mahmud, Ibrahimov Orkhan Kamran, and others. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Pirizadeh Muzaffar Alasgar and Colonel Melikov Vugar Safar received the medal “For Heroism.”
Additionally, Colonel Agalarov Kerem Mazahir and other officers were awarded the medal “For Military Services.” The comprehensive list of honorees includes a wide range of ranks from Senior Ensigns to Major Generals, reinforcing the breadth of the acknowledgment across different levels of service.
This formal recognition by President Aliyev underscores the importance of the State Border Service’s role in national security and the dedication of its personnel. The awards serve to motivate continued excellence and commitment among the ranks of Azerbaijan’s military forces.
