Baku: ‘It is gratifying that today our elders actively participate in all spheres of the country’s life,’ said President Ilham Aliyev in his address to the participants of the 9th Congress of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the growing threats in the world, particularly the erosion of national, spiritual, and family values in many countries due to globalization and the influence of social media platforms. He stated that these challenges further underline the significance of the institution of eldership in Azerbaijan. The President highlighted that one of the vital responsibilities of the elders is to nurture the youth in the spirit of national patriotism, ensure their connection to their roots, and guide them onto the right path.
