Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) has become a historic event, marking it as the largest World Urban Forum ever held. “Azerbaijan had the privilege to host another landmark global event – WUF13, the second biggest international gathering ever held in the country after COP29,” President Aliyev shared in his social media post, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the president extended his congratulations to all participants, partners, and the UN family, especially UN-Habitat, for the successful and result-oriented event. The forum recorded an unprecedented turnout, with around 60,000 participants, setting a new benchmark in the history of the World Urban Forum.
