Tehran: Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran has firmly denied allegations concerning the refusal to issue visas for its national team players ahead of the World Cup.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Iranian Football Federation clarified that the claims about the rejection of players’ visa applications are unfounded.
The Iranian Football Federation emphasized that all visa-related procedures for the national team were conducted in compliance with the established regulations. They insisted that the rumors being circulated do not represent the truth.
Additionally, the Federation assured that any updates or information regarding the national team’s participation in the World Cup will be communicated to the public exclusively through official channels.
The upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Iran has been drawn into Group G, where they will face teams from Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.
