Davos: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed the panel session “Defining Eurasia’s Economic Identity” in Davos, expressing his disillusionment with international mediation efforts. He highlighted the failure of the United Nations Security Council, which had previously adopted four resolutions demanding the unconditional withdrawal of Armenian forces from Azerbaijani territories. However, these resolutions remained unimplemented.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev criticized the OSCE and other international institutions for their inability to enforce resolutions and decisions regarding the conflict. He stated that Azerbaijan had to take matters into its own hands to restore justice, international law, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. Aliyev emphasized that these actions led to the achievement of peace.
