Accra:President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has sent a congratulatory letter to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in celebration of German Unity Day.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Aliyev expressed his congratulations on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people, highlighting Azerbaijan’s role as Germany’s most important and reliable partner in the South Caucasus. He emphasized the significance of the bilateral relationship, noting the signing of a strategic partnership declaration during his visit to Germany in July.
Aliyev remarked on the active political dialogue between the two nations, which enhances cooperation across various sectors including economic and trade, energy, transport, and humanitarian efforts. He also pointed out the vital role this cooperation plays in fostering mutual interaction on the Eurasian continent.
In his letter, Aliyev expressed optimism for continued joint efforts to strengthen the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, both bilaterally and within the European Union framework. He concluded by extending his best wishes for President Steinmeier’s health and success, and for the peace and prosperity of the German people.
