The amendments to the state budget for 2023 have been approved today at the plenary session of Milli Majlis. Budget revenues were raised by AZN 3,116.5 million or 10.1% from AZN 30.774 million to AZN 33.890.5 million and budget expenditures by AZN 3.271.5 million or 9.8% from AZN 33.353.3 million to AZN 36.624.8 million. Eventually, budget deficiency grew by 155 million AZN or 6% from 2579.3 million to 2734.3 million. This is 2.5% of expected gross domestic product (GDP) by the end of the year. Along with the state budget, amendments to the consolidated budget were approved. Budget revenues were raised by AZN 10,034.4 million or 30.4% from AZN 33,025.7 million to AZN 43,060.1 million and budget expenditures by AZN 3,300.5 million or 8.7% from AZN 37,969.4 million to AZN 41,269.9 million. In the end, instead of initially projected deficit of AZN 4,943.6 million, the budget will have a surplus of AZN 1,790.3 million.
