Baku: The list of operational vehicles in Azerbaijan has been expanded, APA reports. According to the report, this was reflected in the amendment to the Law “On Road Traffic” approved by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, special-purpose vehicles used in mine clearance operations of the authorized body to carry out urgent and immediate measures, as well as transporting explosives, will also be considered operational vehicles. It was noted that the need arose for these vehicles to have the same legal status as other operational services in order to ensure rapid arrival at incident scenes, carry out urgent procedural actions, and conduct operational-search measures. Granting these vehicles the right to use special light and sound signals will ensure their priority in road traffic and contribute to more reliable protection of public safety.
