Amman:All members of the Azerbaijani national team secured medals at the Junior Asian Judo Cup in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the team achieved a total of five medals, comprising two gold, two silver, and one bronze. Notably, Gulshan Huseynova (-48 kg) and Ayan Aliyeva (-63 kg) emerged victorious in their respective categories. Meanwhile, Gulgaz Musayeva (-48 kg) and Ayten Verdiyeva (-57 kg) earned silver medals, and Chinara Sadiova (-52 kg) took home a bronze medal.
The Azerbaijani team concluded the first day of the competition leading the women’s standings and placed second in the overall team standings. A total of 121 judokas from 19 countries are participating in this international tournament.
