Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met on Friday with Special Representative for the normalization process between Trkiye and Armenia, Ambassador Serdar Kiliç, who is on a visit to the country.
The discussion revolved around the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, the post-conflict situation in the region, the negotiations between the Special Representatives for the normalization process between Trkiye and Armenia, as well as regional and international security issues.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided insight into the process of normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The FM drew the Special Representative’s attention to the current challenges facing the peace process, the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia, as well as steps threatening regional stability, such as Armenia’s militarization by third countries.
During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, interaction withi
n international organizations, as well as other regional issues of mutual interest.
